This program teaches advanced swimming students three levels of lifesaving skills set out by the Lifesaving Society: Rookie Patrol, Ranger Patrol, and Star Patrol.

Each of these categories focuses on a different set of essential lifesaving skills, including, First aid, Lifesaving kicks, and Safe victim removal

    4:45pm - 5:30pm (ONLY in Spring)

What Will My Child Learn During Your Patrol Swimming Lessons?

This program gives students a solid foundation for future lifeguarding training, and it is suitable for advanced students who can preferably swim at a Swimmer 8 level. Students who are confident in their ability to swim with proper form and perform a variety of aquatic entries will learn how to apply these skills in lifesaving scenarios, continuing their stroke and endurance development while attaining new skills, including:

  • Assessing conscious and unconscious victims

  • Develop effective lifesaving kicks to move and support victims in the water

  • Treating bone and joint injuries

  • Front crawl – Advanced standards

  • Back crawl – Advanced standards

  • Breaststroke – Advanced standards

  • Obstacle swims

  • Develop powerful lifesaving kicks

  • Timed object carries

  • First aid

  • Endurance training

The student-to-instructor ratio is 3:1
